During Monday night's edition of Raw, WWE announced three more matches for SummerSlam on Aug. 23.
The "Divas Revolution" will also continue with a three-team elimination match added to the card:
In what will be one of the more interesting bouts at SummerSlam, Arrow's Stephen Amell will team with Neville to take on Stardust and King Barrett. Amell had been engaging in a social media feud with Stardust for weeks. Tempers boiled over when Stardust shoved Amell to the ground Monday night:
After pleading with Triple H to allow him to wrestle, Amell got his wish:
Celebrities and athletes stepping into the ring can be hit or miss. Sometimes, it's a home run like Floyd Mayweather at WrestleMania 24; other times, it's Snooki at WrestleMania 27.
At least Amell is partnered with Neville, who can do the bulk of the in-ring work and keep the match moving.
The Divas and tag matches should be a lot of fun as well. It's amazing what happens to both divisions when the company takes the time to let wrestlers grow their personalities. Having meaningful stakes on the line matters as well.
Undertaker vs. Brock Lesnar and John Cena's inevitable clash with Seth Rollins will be the headliners of SummerSlam, but the pay-per-view's midcard is coming together nicely.
