Matuidi Says, 'I Will Not Change My Game': Sakho Rejoins Team

Matuidi escaped with a rough tackle on Nigerian Ogenyi Onazi in the 2014 World Cup last 16 clash; a challenge that could have earned him a punishment but did not.

The 27 year-old has come out to say that the issue will not change his play, Matuidi got away with a yellow card for a tackle described worse than that of Suarez, the Uruguayan was sanctioned but the Frenchman wasn’t.

France got to the Quarter final for the first time after the Germany 2006 final at the expense of Nigeria and the PSG man says: “I would not change anything in my game, yellow card or not.

“I don’t think about that yellow card. This is a dream for us but now we have no time to enjoy this.”
France play Germany in Friday’s quarter-final and Matuidi thinks the Germans are the favourites though undermining the thought that the French are suffering inferiority complex from past defeats to the German.

“Clearly we can say they are the favourites because of their recent past but anything can happen in one game, everyone knows that very well.

“On that evening on Friday there are no favourites. We will make it hard for them and we want to advance.”
Mamadou Sakho is back with the team after been sidelined in the game against Nigeria due to an injury.
